A Global View of the Earth
Description:
It is recommended that students complete Units 1 and 2
in The Adventure of Echo the Bat

http://imagers.gsfc.nasa.gov/ ) before beginning A Global View of the Earth.In this activity, students build a model of the Landsat-7 satellite, learn to interpret
remote-sensed images, study different kinds of orbits, and use basic
math skills to figure out how far Landsat-7 is from the Earth. The
teacher's guide contains lesson plans, worksheets, glossary of terms,
standards, and a list of resources to enhance the lessons.
